Position: Customer Service Clerk


Job description:

The Customer Service position, reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, Deputy Chief, and Chief Appraiser, plays an important role in assisting property owners in Polk County. Working alongside other office personnel, clerks handle daily responsibilities to complete tasks assigned by the Supervisor. Responsibilities will also include communication with property owners throughout both formal and informal processes. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

· Assisting property owners in person, via telephone and other forms of electronic communication.

· Process address changes.

· Process Homestead, Over 65, and various disability exemptions.

· Manage property combinations.

· Assist in preparing and mailing removal letters.

· Applying tax deferrals

· Support special projects as assigned by supervisor.

· Collaborating with team members to ensure a high standard of customer service experience.


Minimum Requirement:

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong problem-solving abilities.

· Commitment to quality service with a customer-oriented approach.

· Proficiency in multitasking, prioritizing and time management.

· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

· Flexibility in adapting to office needs.


Salary:

$ 35,000
